Quote Series : Sunburnt Country

I love a sun burnt country. A land of sweeping planes.

Of ragged mountain rangers.

Of droughts and flooding rains.

I love her far horizons and her jewel-sea.

Her beauty and her terror.

The wide brown land for me.

- Dorothea Mackellar 'My Country'

I have written this from memory. I learnt this poem at school in Australia; there are more stanza's and my 'personal version' could be slightly incorrect,  but this is how I like to resight it to myself.
